Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to what east DFW homeowners ask us most. Don’t see yours? Call or text (214) 802-6378 — we reply within 24 hours.

Estimates & Scheduling

How do I get an estimate?

Three ways: call (214) 802-6378, text the same number (photos welcome), or use the free estimate form. Estimates are always free, and we reply within 24 hours.

Is the estimate really free? Any obligation?

Yes, free — and no obligation. You get a clear scope and a fair number; the decision is yours.

How fast can you start?

It depends on the season and the job size — mowing routes fill differently than fence builds. Your estimate comes with a realistic start window. For Christmas lights, book early; spots go fast.

What areas do you cover?

Garland, Rowlett, Mesquite, Sunnyvale, Balch Springs, Rockwall, Heath, Fate, Forney, and Terrell. Just outside those? Text your address — if we’re close, we’ll try to make it work. Service areas →

What are your hours?

Monday–Friday 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Saturday 7:00 AM – 12:00 PM, closed Sunday. You can text anytime — we reply within 24 hours.

Lawn Care & Maintenance

Do you offer weekly or biweekly mowing?

Both. Most east DFW lawns need weekly cuts April–October and biweekly (or less) in the cooler months. We’ll recommend a schedule for your grass type.

What’s included in a maintenance visit?

Mowing at the right height, edging along drives and walks, trimming around beds and fences, and blowing off hard surfaces. Clean lines, crisp edges — every visit.

Do I need to be home?

No. As long as the crew can access the yard (gates unlocked, pets inside), you can go about your day.

How much does lawn care cost in east DFW?

It depends on lot size, grass condition, and schedule — which is why we quote from your actual yard, free, instead of a one-size number. Send a photo or your address and you’ll have a real price within 24 hours. Top quality service at affordable prices is the promise, and the estimate costs nothing.

What height should my grass be cut?

In summer, Bermuda does best around 2 inches and St. Augustine at 3–4 inches — taller grass shades its roots and survives the heat. We set mowing height by your grass type and the season. More in our guide: 5 Tips to Keep Your Lawn Green in the Texas Heat.

What about pets?

Just have dogs inside or secured during the visit, and let us know about anything we should watch for in the yard.

Landscaping, Mulch & Drainage

Can you redo my flower beds?

Yes — new beds, plant and shrub installation, river rock, retaining walls, and mulch. See real examples in the Project Gallery.

How often should mulch be refreshed?

Once a year keeps beds protected and looking sharp; heavy-sun beds sometimes benefit from a light top-up mid-season.

When is the best time to plant shrubs in North Texas?

Fall and early spring — the roots establish before summer heat arrives. We plan landscaping installs around those windows so new plants survive their first Texas summer.

Do you repair sprinkler systems?

Yes — sprinkler repair and maintenance for existing systems: broken or clogged heads, leaks, valve and wiring issues, and controllers that won’t behave. Describe the zone that’s acting up (photos help) and we’ll get you a free estimate.

How do I know if I need a french drain?

Standing water for more than a day after rain, soggy spots that never dry, or water collecting against your foundation are the big three signs. Full guide: When to Install a French Drain.

Fencing

Do you repair fences or only build new ones?

Both. Many leaning or damaged fences can be repaired for far less than replacement — and we’ll tell you honestly which makes sense. Guide: New Fence vs. Repair.

What wood do you use?

Cedar is our most-requested for looks and rot resistance; we’ll price options in your estimate.

Do you stain and seal?

Yes — staining and sealing roughly doubles the life of a cedar fence. Ideal 4–8 weeks after a new build. Fencing page →

Seasonal Services

When should I book Christmas light installation?

October — seriously. Installation slots fill before Thanksgiving. Removal after the season is included in the service. Why early booking pays off →

What does a seasonal cleanup include?

Leaves, dead growth, bed cleanout, small branches, and haul-off — a full reset for spring or fall. Pairs well with mulching.

Payment & Service

How do I pay?

Whatever’s easiest for you: Zelle, Cash App, Venmo, check, or cash.
